Mission
Our Mission as a church is to make disciples of Jesus.
We believe that Jesus set the mission for every Christian Church throughout history, when He commissioned His very first followers to make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you. (Matthew 28:18-20)
We are a community of people who love Jesus and each other, and are determined to learn what it looks like to follow Jesus together.
We exist because of Jesus, to worship Jesus, and to become an expression and extension of Jesus.
In His time on earth, Jesus was asked what the greatest commandment was—essentially He was asked to sum up all of God’s expectations in a single statement. His response would teach us the very essence of what it means to follow Jesus. According to Jesus, the greatest commandment is to love God and love those who are made in God’s image (Matthew 22:36-40). The scriptures teach us that our love for God and others is in response to the great love He has demonstrated for us (1 John 4:19, Roman 5:8). Our goal as followers of Jesus is likeness to Jesus. The outworking of that is loving God and loving people.
This is the purpose of every church and follower of Jesus: to love God & love people.
