Leader: John Momsen
The OBCF Men’s Ministry vision is to train and equip men:
- To establish an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ through prayer, worship and the building of a strong faith through the power of the Holy Spirit by reading and studying God’s Word daily.
- To build strong Godly Character and Integrity through small groups whereby men meet on a regular basis for Bible study, prayer, discussion, accountability, and restoration.
- To help men assume their spiritual role of leadership beginning at home, then the church, and then into the workplace.
We accomplish this by being true, obedient servants of Jesus Christ, sharing our faith throughout the world and bringing unity to the body of Jesus Christ. “Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be men of courage; be strong. Do everything in Love.” 1 Cor 16:13-14.
Men’s Morning Prayer Meeting Men, you are invited to join us for prayer on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of the month from 5:00 am to 6:00 am at the Church Office. The next prayer meeting will be on January 5, 2016.
Men’s Accountability Groups At Olive Branch, we believe that the Accountability Group is critical to man’s walk with Christ. Accountability is simply being responsible for one’s actions. As humans, we find support, comfort and motivation from others who are struggling with similar life circumstances. Joining an Accountability Group can be the beginning of being more Christ-like. “Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.” Galatians 6:1-2.
The evening group meets the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of the month from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm at the Church Office.
The morning group meets the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of the month from 6:30 am to 7:45 am at The Hamburger Factory located at 14122 Midland Rd., Poway, CA 92064.
Men’s Bi-monthly Breakfast Saturday, February 6 Men, plan on coming to the next Men’s Breakfast and start praying about who you can invite! The meeting will take place at the Church Office . See Jim Hallsted after church to sign up. Sign-ups will be taken starting January 17. Please advise John Momsen if you did not sign up, but don’t let that stop you from coming and inviting a friend! Men’s fellowship starts at the Men’s Bi-monthly Breakfast, held on the 1st Saturday of every other month. This breakfast gives men an opportunity to come together to fellowship, pray and hear God’s Word. We have one of our pastors, leaders or an invited speaker share on a “relevant” series or topic. The men break up into Huddle Groups to discuss the message for that day. Also, each month one of the Olive Branch men will share his personal testimony. This is an exciting time to rejoice with other men on how they were saved and let Christ into their lives. We strongly encourage you to bring a friend or neighbor. “For where two or three are gathered together in My Name, I am there in the midst of them.” Matthew 18:20 .
