Vision Statement The OBCF Men’s Ministry vision is to train and equip men:
To establish an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ, through prayer, worship, and the building of strong faith through the power of the Holy Spirit by reading and study of God's Word daily.
To build strong Godly Character & Integrity through small groups where by men meet on a regular basis for bible study, prayer, discussion, accountability, and restoration. To help men assume their spiritual role of leadership beginning at home, then the church, and then into the workplace. Accomplishing this by being true obedient servants of Jesus Christ, sharing our faith throughout the world and bringing unity to the body of Jesus Christ.
Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be men of courage; be strong. Do everything in Love. 1Cr 16:13-14
Men’s Accountability Group meets every 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month and meets year round. Currently meeting at The Hamburger Factory, start time is 6:30am. Current study is from the book "The Disciplines of a Godly Man"
At Olive Branch, we believe that Accountability Group is critical to man’s walk with Christ. Accountability is simply being responsible for one's actions. As humans, we find support, comfort, and motivation from others who are struggling with similar life circumstances. Joining an accountability group can be the beginning of being more Christ like. “Bear one another burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.” Galatians 6:1-2
Men’s Bimonthly Breakfast Men’s fellowship starts at the Men’s Bimonthly Breakfast, which is held at Maderas restaurant at 7:30 am in Rancho Bernardo on the 1st Saturday of every other month.
This breakfast gives men an opportunity to come together to fellowship, pray and hear God’s Word. Pastor Scott delivers a continuing message on the “Armor of God”. The men breakup into Huddle Groups to discuss a the message for that day. Also, each month one of the Olive Branch men will share his personal testimony. This is an exciting time to rejoice with other men on how they were saved and let Christ into their lives. We strongly encourage you to bring a friend or neighbor.
“For where two or three are gathered together in My Name, I am there in the midst of them.” Matthew 18:20
